Hidden Plastics…the disruption and problems they can cause our bodies:

DrDady

While you know that certain plastics like water bottles, plastic food containers, and plastic jugs that hold laundry detergent, etc. for instance are toxic to our bodies, there are other plastics that come in the form of clothes, carpeting, cosmetics, furniture, store receipts, and, believe it or not, they can be found in the food you eat……..just to name a few. These hidden, toxic plastics leach into our bodies on a daily basis and wreak havoc on our endocrine system. Scientists have deemed these plastic chemicals “endocrine disruptors”. They not only wreak havoc on your health but can also cause unexpected weight gain.

Your body controls every process inside you using chemical signals called hormones. These hormones regulate your metabolism, appetite, energy levels, mood, sleep cycles, and more. The body manages these hormones with a special “hormone computer” called your endocrine system. Endocrine “disruptors” have the ability to “hack into” your endocrine system by disguising themselves as actual hormones. When this happens, you stop receiving messages from your real hormones and start getting “wrong” messages from these hormone impostors instead!

Once these impostors, aka endocrine disruptors/chemicals from plastics, have access to your body, WATCH OUT! They quickly start to:

-Make you hungrier

-Slow your metabolism

-Zap your energy

-Attack your joints

-Cloud your thinking

You’re probably asking if these chemical disruptors are so bad, whey are they being allowed into all the household products and food??

There was a report released on 7/1/2019 by The National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides–a Washington D.C. based consumer safety organization. It detailed how, despite growing evidence about the dangers of these endocrine disruptors to the American public, the government has knowingly turned a blind eye to these dangers since AT LEAST 2009.

Here’s a quote from the article:

“For over a decade, the EPA ignored the vast wealth of information on endocrine disruption from independent academic researchers funded by the U.S. and other governments in Europe and Asia.”

National Geographic, Time Magazine, The New York Times, and The Washington Post have all run scathing articles about the dangers of endocrine disruptors. However, despite all the press… there is, sadly,

a radio silence from the government.

So, it’s super important to pay attention to the chemicals you expose your body and system to each day. To combat the affects of endocrine disruptors in our bodies, there are certain herbs that help to lessen and protect our endocrine system.
